This is the climate data for Las Vegas in a parallel universe. The mountains are not much of a rain shadow anymore, and as the cold air travels down the mountains and into the Las Vegas Valley in winter, the temperatures do not climb much if at all

Summers are not quite as hot, but winters are cold and snowy. In the winter time, Las Vegas is a popular ski destination as well as gambling and drinking

B+. I like the summer lows a lot, and fall/spring are both great.

Summers are too hot during day and too cold during night. Winter record lows are surprisingly cold, so that is interesting...

D. Too dry, although winter is tolerable due to snow. Temperatures are good.

C for me. The winters are lackluster and the summers are awful in the daytime, though the nights remain nice.

C for me

There are "real" northern Nevada high desert climates very close to this fake climate.
Like Elko or Ely, actually most places at 5,000-7,000ft.
Tonopah, Contact, Jackpot, Wells, etc...

Not a bad climate, I prefer high elevation climates in Arizona and New Mexico,
winter temps are usually abit milder.

Still too dry even though rainfall is doubled in comparison to LV. High temperatures are quite good though I don't like those wide diurnal ranges and the possibility of frost year-round.

EDIT: Just noticed the OP's climate box are unedited stats for Elko, NV
