Around 3500 I guess. Clouds are pointless crap IMO (but I like storms).
Nothing better than some years' July in Nice with 400 hours in the month
Agree. Any clouds besides cumulus and Cumulonimbus is a boring, uninteresting, useless horses ass pile of dung.
Unfortunately here, 95% of all cloud is slate-grey maritime stratus layer cloud bullcrap
If Melbourne ever records 400 hours of sun in one month, I'll eat my own feces. With the track record of this city, I don't think I'll be eating my own waste products any time soon - especially if global warming really gets going as predicted by the brain-dead hacks in parliament. We are payign $24 billion for a desalination plant that will never be used, vs $1 billion for a dam that was cancelled due to the fact that it would "never rain again". Every year, the proposed location of this dam has been flooding mercilessly. The site of the desal plant looks very soggy, overcast and gloomy indeed in the latest pics. Julia Gillard, John Brumby, I'll wipe my ass with the $250 quarterly increase in my water bill ($1000 per year hike) thanks to your useless desal plant (among other things..everything you touched resulted in the people having to bleed money out of their ass to survive) and I'll shove that bill up the ass hole of the decomposing filth you will leave behind you freaking pile of steaming dung.
Julia Gillard meg John Brumby, menyetek a rohat kurva anyatokba ott hagy vagytok, te rohadeg szemet alat kurvak. Meg baszom a kibaszot facken anyatok punci-at es be spritzelem a kurva spermamat aba a csodalotosh punci-ban. Remelheteleg ott dogletek meg te faszom alat kocsog tahoe alat-ok, meg dug-om a kurva anyadad aki sajnos ki-szart ere a vilag-la. Mayd a faszom ki szolgayla aszt a punci-t

How about variegated stratocumulus? They're my favorite type of clouds, and I only saw them rarely up until about 2 years ago (that's probably connected to increased winds, change towards a cooler climate, and the solar minimum (they were very common in LIA Europe as well))
Below is an excellent example. There is complete sky coverage of clouds but it's puffy and variegated. I'm sure even you would find this an improvement over slate-gray:
I love clouds, some clouds are super interesting to look in the sky. I also like thunderstorms. And cloudy days such as today.
That being said, i tend to preffer sunshine, specially in the winter. My favourite temperature days are around 10 celsius and SUNNY, always sunny. Im not a fan of the sun in the summer, though. This past spring-summer, we ve had record sunshine days between november and end of january, it was like endless sun and i was TIRED of it! Then it came february wich was super cloudy and humid and that also sucked (basically for the humidity). But, anyways, my point is, i like a balanced climate when you can get clouds, thunderstorm, and sunny days, but with a tendency to be more sunny than non-sunny. My ideal is Buenos Aires, living here i know this is what i like, its almost equally sunny every month of the year and it can get long strechs of cloudy days (in May we had ten) and longer strechs of sunny days, and sunny winter days are normal. So, Buenos Aires haves 2500 hours so my ideal will be around those numbers.
I also like the next category up to 2900, more than that will be too much. Less than 2200 will be too little, i ve lived in a 1900 sunshine hours for 20 years and it was a little too cloudy for my tastes. So 2200-2600 it is.

That sky is beautiful!!!
Another thing i love in the sky is when the day was sunny and in the afternoon some clear clouds start to form and they form some very clear-shaped and dense clouds with a kinf of violet colour, and the sky behind turns pink. I uploaded some pics i took from my balcony the other day with that same sky...its breathtaking. Some clouds in the sky always make the sky more interesting, imo.
