What do people people think of the new layout for the NWS forecast pages? I think I like the change, though the images are a bit big and garish. The hourly graph is rather neat.

In other weather website news, weather underground got bought by weather.com. Jeff Masters claims the old site will still stay mostly the same, but they'll take advantage of each other's features. I never cared for weather.com all that much; it has a bit too much silly fluff and years ago when I had slow internet connection it would take forever to load.

I don't like it. The old one was fine. But, I have trouble accepting change, so I'll get used to it eventually.

Havent explored it yet.I do agree the fonts and banners seem too large...

I suggest everyone explore it first then fill out their feedback survey. They do look at it and hear our comments.

I didnt realize you mention weatherunderground being bought here.

Merge the 2 threads if you want.

Interesting the links are now on the bottom. Hmm, I kinda liked not having to scroll through the entire page to get to a link. Might have to grow on me but I liked just looking on the left and seeing it right there. (mostly the climo links)

Edit::: Ohhh, nevermind, Once you click on the Office location on the right it takes you to the old page where the links are on the left. Still have to get a feel around for it.

don't like, I like simple boring web pages, this one is much flashier. Still better then all the others out there.

The new layout works just fine but I see it as superfluous. The old site was very user friendly as it was, so I'd see no reason to change it. It's not as if the new one offers anything better.

The only real problem I can find is that their icons' resolutions are too low and they look blurred blown up to their current sizes. They need to reduce the icon size to their native resolution or get higher-resolution icons.
