Since when did BA average 34c highs?! Slight exaggeration!
This is the data for january and february in BA: look down 2 posts when i posted it to nei
see all the 33, 34, 35, even 38??? well, i like 10 celsius less than that on average. Im not exxagerating, take the chart of the jan/feb temp of BA and 10 celsius less, and that will be a summer temp i like. A lot of 22 celsius day, one or two 28c, a couple of 25, and a lot of 20c. Sunny.
Subtract 15C from those figures and it would be a top-grade summer month for me. Highs ranging from 12.2C to 23.8C (52.0F to 74.8F), and lows ranging from -0.8C to 11.3C (30.6F to 52.3F).
Im just saying that instead of average, you take 10 celsius for every actual day of january and february, and the result will be a good summer.
Of the data i posted, 10 c less will do it for me. Sure, with the substraction, there will be a couple of days in february when max will only be 17c. I dont mind that in the summer. I dont even mind the lows of 7c.
But if you look at the numbers, most substracted days will be between 20 and 25c (and thats awesome for summer imo) with some colder (less than 20c) and some hotter (more than 25c) days than i like, but i could live with that.
So what i said is not an exxageration at all: take 10 celsius for every actual day of January and February and you will get a summer ill like to live in
I would say that between the 6 and 11 of January i will feel too hot in BA, even with the 10c substraction, lol!
Im more of a 12/23 sunny breeze day than of a 16/29 sticky day (that would be the 10th with the subtraction )
Now, if you dont substract 10c, that climate is hell all around, imo. No break from the heat. Thats why i hate it so much. I really only feel comfortable if you take 10c out of it, and even then i wont be totally safe from a hot day, wow.
what?? in the lows is posted i took the 10c out of them!
Take 10c out of both, even if the low of one day end up being 7c, it will mean its in the early morning, and night will probably be around 15c. Like in summer, if the absolute low is 20c, it happens in the morning, and night is around 25c.
So, yeah, i definetely want 10c off the lows too, like i showed in my february example.
Actually, you have to admit that substracting 10c of the highs and lows, BA haves a great summer weather. Add to that the 250/270 sunshine hours of January and february and BOOM! Thats a great summer weather right there.
Yes, but it's close. I don't think 3 degrees is going to be the difference between life and death (unless you're Flight Simmer or Deneb ) unless the difference between 31°C and 33°C is significantly different.
Some of the worst weather I have had to endure was about 32-33C (around or just over 90F ) with around 90% humidity.
This was in the NSW Northern Rivers.
Even people from Adelaide, who are used to dry heat waves, found this unbearable.
Generally temps over that are dry, certainly on the east coast here.
Hence the "feel" difference between 31C and 34C can be quite variable.
