Heat index 98°F again.

Hope we get a decent thunderstorm out of this.

I'm not interested in swimming and the sun is hot and hurts my eyes. Of course, I do enjoy looking out over a sunlit landscape, but I don't like being in direct sunlight.

I suppose it depends on the person but I like to see some sunshine. Constant cloud makes me and the landscape very depressed.

It'll probably warm up a bit in Sep. but so far ridiculously and deliciously mild is the word!
I'm in inland SoCal and it's been really mild so far. There may have been a three day stretch about a month ago that was swelteringly hot. But otherwise two windows open for a cross breeze has been the order of the day. I hate using air conditioning, though there are times when I'm sweating indoors that I'll put it on for an hour. That's only when the air stills. The breeze always kicks up again.

Yeah, August and September I expect some shimmering heat. But until then I am relishing this summer!

GOod thing I came back home just in time. I love me almost daily severe thunderstorm warnings (even though 99% of the time it's just a small supercell popup coming over) We should have a popup severe thunderstorm here today as well

I went for a quick bike ride (quick because I saw rain on the radar). Some really heavy rain, looked like mist coming off a waterfall.

Cooled down by 10°F but the dew point is even higher (one station is reporting 75°F).

Well yeah, I wouldn't want constant clouds, either. My town is very cloudy by U.S. standards, but it's probably not as cloudy as where you live. It could be cloudier and it wouldn't bother me, but I'd want to see the sun once in a while.

Wind right now is gusting at about 50-65MPH and the rain is blowing like crazy, almost horizontal and visibility dropped like an anvil. It's so dark outside that the streetlights came on and they normally don't come on till about 7 PM (4:10 PM here). Heat index is/was 96°F and super sticky. When I posted the reply you quoted, it was partly cloudy and very bright
