Precisely why I created Eternity Cliff a few months ago. If you liked Le Dump, but it wasn't cold enough or wet enough for you, and if you found it to be too sunny, then Eternity Cliff may be just the ticket for you. Book your reservation at our research station/resort hotel now before the sea freezes up*.

I would most certainly drive my car off Eternity Cliff
I think Le Dump is the cloudiest possible place on Earth, given the research I did. I looked up annual global cloud maps and SSTs, cloudiness of other subarctic islands, the cloud maps I studied gave over 90% average annual cloudiness for this particular region. So I think this is about as realistically cloudy as is possible on Earth given the location in a constant stream of cold icy cloudy airstream and amplify that by being on the windward side of a hypothetical mountain range, you got yourself a location worse than the local garbage dump.

I found an old paper about sunshine measurement around and near the Antarctic peninsula 1944-1966. There were "exposure" problems with some sites but at least one of them had a solid-looking average of about 540 hours (Signy I think). The only lower values were at sites where obstructions caused significant loss.
