Meanwhile I can look at the weather records of Leeds Weather Centre to see how much warmer it is than almost anywhere else in the north of England, including Manchester and Sheffield.
thats why I said 'even up to scotland' some people on here screw my knowledge of the uk's weather because I hear alot of people saying how cold it is in summer and whatever yet they don't mention those maybe brief but good heatwaves

Look at the weather history of Linton on Ouse and Leeds Weather Centre on tutiempo.net - the two are actually very similar, but Leeds still manages to be consistently warmer, especially coupled with much warmer nights.
What makes you think the results would be much different? Linton on Ouse is warmer than Church Fenton, despite being further north. Methinks thee are more factors at play here.
I know, he gets all these things that aren't even on the met office site and i'm forever wondering where the hell they come out of.
