For me, it is somewhat important to not have a long lasting (3+ months) snowpack. I feel like that would get boring after a while. However, I do want the possibility of a 3 week snowpack. What I care more about is having a climate that gets semi-frequent accumulating snow in winter.

Substantial lasting snowpack is pretty important to me.

I remember last winter we had a lasting snowpack of more than 1 foot for almost two months, and my mood and overall satisfaction with the weather was much better than in previous winters when weather was generally warm and ****ty with little snowpack. I hope to someday live in a place which gets 4-6 month snowpack.
