More to my amazement, Stockholm had a low of 21.2C and a high of 32.1C on the same day in July 2010.

July 2010 was pretty amazing, many records were broken in Finland, Eastern Sweden and the Baltic States.
We got a new all-time high temp, monthly mean temp, daily mean temp, most >25C days in a month and very rare nighttime thunderstorms. Many locations had 7-9 nights with lows above 20C.

edit: Of course this was due to the Russian heatwave, and they broke most of their records as well. Best summer ever.

Even though I dislike heat, I was a bit annoyed that we missed out on any heatwave that year. A mean max of 26C as seen in Stockholm and Helsinki is the same as the highest ever where I live, despite a massive difference in latitude. Our maritime location will always stifle extremes here.

In fact Norway and Denmark missed most of the heat as well, it was quite usual that temps in Helsinki and Stockholm were around 30C, and in Oslo and Copenhagen 18-21C. Of course in a country without AC, it got annoying at times. I had temps around 28-29C all summer inside, old buses and trams had 40C temps. But even friends who usually aren't interested in weather were thrilled, as some kind of record was broken every week.
Despite the warm summer, the year as a whole was the coldest in the 2000's, as the winter was exceptionally cold.

Yup, I think so Corsica might be a contender as well, though oddly enough Ajaccio's average summer low is only 16°C (19°C for Bastia and I believe around 18°C for Calvi). Overseas territories might be worth checking as well, but that's cheating

No Sanfel. In Buenos Aires, the highest low was 28.2C on Dec 30, 1971.
That 28C was the highest low for January

In Argentina, in the recent years i remember a 32.8C on Feb 7, 2010 in Las Lomitas, Formosa province.

Queens, NYC.....85°F (29.4C) on July 22nd, 2011, it shot up to a high temperature of 104°F (40°C) which was just 3 degrees shy of the all time record high. I believe we were in the 90's before 9:00 AM. I'd do anything for that weather right now.

This can't be right. Faulty data or do you think such nighttime heat is possible in a rural area?

Here's the top record minimums listed for my area:

Rank Value Ending Date
1 87 7/7/1934
2 85 7/2/1934
3 82 7/10/1934, 8/11/1896
5 81 7/3/1934, 8/7/1896
7 80 8/10/1896, 8/9/1896
9 79 7/13/1943, 7/13/1941
