I am the lonesome polecat that chose Dubai. I view Dubai as being one heck of a big Beach and with plenty of places to cool off in if the heat gets to you.The interior of the Dubai Mall is a nice place to spend the Dubai summer, unless you want to go out and enjoy the beaches.

I'm guessing Gdansk's summers aren't that different from Berlin, where I used to live, so I'd go with that. You might get the odd heatwave or thunderstorm but overall, much better than a guaranteed 3 months in an oven or a steambath.

My main reason for choosing Dubai. although it is a fascinating country. The only time I actually visited there was when it was still all sand dunes and not developed. But I have several friends that have moved there, keep trying to get to go for a visit might take them up on it one day, if my health ever improves.
