I like it. I don't understand why everyone says it's too hot? I'm sure it's humid and muggy in the summer, but the average daytime high in July is 83 F. That's cooler than New York City, let alone truly hot-weather cities like Atlanta, Houston, New Orleans, etc. that have average July daytime highs in the 90s (with high humidity).
An average July in Minneapolis is warmer than the warmest ever here, and only marginally cooler than an average July in Rome. So yes, Minneapolis is hot. But is it too hot - no.
My biggest complaint is the humidity in the summer.
