At 4? Ain't that too high. It was 1.5c and raining earlier briefly.
Yeah, it snowed quite thick and heavy for 40 minutes, then turned back to rain again. Temperature dropped to 3.4C after 30 mins of snow, then rose again to around 5c at which point it was just plain old rain.
I suppose it was nice to see something other than rain, although now its 7C and clear blue skies! Funny old day.
Up in the Arctic, Svalbard airport/ Longyearbyen recorded 0.0C
Yesterday Feb 12. in Longyearbyen: High 5.4C; low 2.2C, avg 3.6C. According to the old 61-90 normal, the normal average for this date is -16.2C. Yesterday thus was 19.8C warmer than normal!
Last 30 days: Avg (24-hr avg) was -1.5C, 14.3C above the normal. Even the arctic fjords are open water (not frozen), not to mention the sea surrounding the archipelago. Varmebølge skyller over Svalbard

Thats a bit odd because here today it was 1.8c and it kept alternating between snow and rain.
I suppose it could snow at 4c with low dew points but lately we need at least 2.5c.
Snow's gone, only plowed heaps left. Seems that the grass won't turn brown this winter.
