They are predicting some really cold nights for the latter part of November. Lows in the mid 20's widespread with upper teens possible in hilly spots well. I believe winter truly will return with a vengeance this year. Respect old man winter and he will bless you with a white Christmas.

Weather record from 1951-1980 for that particular area, annual average of 9.9ºC http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/7030/bigorne.png A low of -2.5ºC in June, 0.0ºC in August and Setember in just a 30 year period. Freezing for Portuguese standards lol
In English I think it's condensation that freezes into frost; in Spanish we say "helada".

No, I usually don't see frost here from late April to late October, as the town where I live is not prone to strong temperature inversion. However, there are some mountain valleys into the northern half of Spain where dew frost in summer nights is not unheard of. Take a look here: POLOS DE FRÍO, 2013-2014

Summer night frosts in these mountain valleys tend to be more common in the nortwestern quadrant of Iberian peninsula, whereas the lowest average temperatures during winter months tend to occur in these mountain valleys located in the northeastern quadrant of Iberian peninsula.

Being back on topic, 3.4º C and 89% RH @ 10h46 with partly cloudy sky by low stratocumulus clouds, just 3/8.

8.7°C and a mix of sunshine and large cumulus clouds and some brief but heavy showers in between.
Mean Windspeed at our official station with 7 Bft and gusts up to 9 Bft.
Love this kind of weather, much better than overcast with light rain or even drizzle.

Low was 7.3°C (well in the midmorning @10:07)
and we had 10.5 mm of rainfall already.
