Neither are subtropical in the Holdridge Life Zones (which I think is the best way to determine bioclimatic regions)
Not overly helpful map though - puts my climate in the same zone as SW Norway, yet I've just had avocado and orange juice for breakfast, straight from the garden .... that won't be happening in SW Norway.

I know exactly where this thread is going so I'll just get this out the way right now. Are you going skiing this morning and then heading to the beach this afternoon?
Louisville is too be taken with a grain of salt if SDF data is being used as it is one of the most absurd heat island AWOS locations anywhere in the US.

A long wait for skiing unfortunately, had around 500mm of rain in early September, and the skiing was patchy afer that.
Not really a beach person, and with the water temperature at present varying between 14-16C, I wouldn't be tempted to go swimming.
Are they too prone to heat related disease during hotter summer in Louisville?
No they aren't prone to heat disease too much, temperatures in my area of southern Indiana are a full 6-10F cooler, especially low temperatures compared to whatever you see at SDF in Louisville. SDF is surrounded by asphalt and concrete on all four sides at a lower elevation around 500 ft. I'm at just under 900 ft. elevation north of the Ohio River. Some plant hardiness zones used to have my area of Floyd County, IN at zone 5B, whereas the city of Louisville was 7A. This is a distance of less than 15 miles.
