Hottest at the airport was a record-tying 97F/36C on July 28, 2006. The harbor hit 102F/39C that month, maybe as a result of adiabatic heating.
The highest low was 77F/25C on August 25th, 2013.
The coldest was -30F/-24C on January 29, 2004.
I believe I took a "selfie" that day but it's on my other computer.
The lowest minimum I believe so far is -10F/-23C, which was recorded on February 4th, 2007 and then again on January 21, 2013. I took a picture of myself at work that day:
The "millennium to date" record for the lowest maximum, with about 75% confidence (my estimate) will be broken on either Sunday or Monday, when the forecast high at the airport is -15F/-26C. As for Sunday, the temperature will have to be under -10F at 12:00AM to "make it", as the forecast daytime temperature for then is also -15F/-26C.
As for minimum temperature, I'd give it a probability of 20% that Sunday night will record the coldest temperature so far of the millennium, as the forecast low is -29F.
Coldest: 1 F / -17 C on January 18, 2003.
Hottest: 109 F / 43 C on June 29, 2012.
I'm hoping that that 1 F in 2003 becomes -1 F / -18 C on January 7, 2014
