El Centro for being drier and having hotter summers.

El Centro for sure.
I like Ft. Myers much better.
Only thing good about El Centro is Cher was born there.

Another way of rephrasing this question is to ask whether you prefer 92 F summers with 75 % humidity or 108 F summers with 35 % humidity.

El Centro, although if you're going to indict that town for brutally hot weather, you'd also have to indict Phoenix, Yuma, Palm Springs and lots of other places in the toasty desert southwest, but at least Ft. Myers gets almost 57 inches of rain per year, as opposed to just under three inches for El Centro, which is dry heat personified.

I would prefer 92 F summers with 75 % humidity over 92 F summers with 35 % humidity.

I doubt it. We had 88 F with 39 % humidity once in August, and the warmth was actually enjoyable . Unlike the usual 86 F with 65 % we always get in NJ during August which makes you sweat like crazy.

But I dont like sweating heavily and being rained upon while trail hiking . 4.24 miles in 2 hours under the conditions mentioned previously .

In humidity like the one you want, even a 2.7 mile hike can be very difficult.
