If nothing changes it will be another record low ACE year.

All those record high years with all those tropical storms was pushed on us because of Global warming. Now what? Oh yeah... They had to change their brainwashing techniques and call it climate change.

Just be glad your not the sucker....or are you.

So did Jeff masters mention the quiet Atlantic again or does he "have to" focus on the Pacific to fit his agenda?

Does this mean we're plunging now?

NASA today. You can almost sense they tried so hard not to say it.

NASA Study Finds Earth’s Ocean Abyss Has Not Warmed

While the upper part of the world’s oceans continue to absorb heat from global warming, ocean depths have not warmed measurably in the last decade. This image shows heat radiating from the Pacific Ocean as imaged by the NASA’s Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System instrument on the Terra satellite. (Blue regions indicate thick cloud cover.)

Deep sea creatures, like these anemones at a hydrothermal vent, are not yet feeling the heat from global climate change. Although the top half of the ocean continues to warm, the bottom half has not increased measurably in temperature in the last decade.

The cold waters of Earth’s deep ocean have not warmed measurably since 2005, according to a new NASA study, leaving unsolved the mystery of why global warming appears to have slowed in recent years

Slowed in recent years? How about stopped in 18yrs.

When climate skeptics say there hasn't been any warming for 18 years and 1 month, they're right because this is precisely what the RSS satellite data shows. But when the warmest says that it's actually only a short period of 6 years and 1 month, they are also right because the UAH satellite data agrees with this.

Ironically, the UAH data is managed by climate skeptics while the RSS is run by believers in CAGW (Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming). Therefore, if you want to believe that we are no longer warming, trust the data from the proponents of global warming, but if you want to believe that the warming continues, listen to the skeptics.

P.S.

Wow, it seems that cherry-picking and delusional denial is still in full force.

There will be a nice cat fight if 2014 manages to become the warmest year on record according to the NOAA, and as always some will try to say that tropospheric temperature and surface temperature are the same thing, as long as conveniently the anomalous response of tropospheric temperature to ENSO (which is the key to 'prove' the absence of recent warming from satellite data) compared to surface data will not be mentioned.

One warm month or even year does not change a trend.

If you would have read my post above you would know that there are several different scientifically valid global thermometers of the planet's temperature. The RSS satellite data show that there has been no warming for 18 years and 1 month. Therefore, his statement is scientifically accurate. Some of the other methods both satellite and land based show that we have indeed warmed the past 18 years, and that the pause is much shorter.

Why is that, you ask? Because there is a margin of error. The website you've linked to say there has been no warming since 2002. By contrast, the skeptic data I referenced (UAH) shows no warming since 2008. The 18 year, 1 month pause started in 1996. No one knows for certain which hiatus start point is most accurate.
