Long sleeved shirts and hats during the worst part of the day, and getting a tan from about September on, are really all that's needed.

There is a small percent of very fair skinned people who have a much harder time, but most white people shouldn't have a problem.

Yes the Solent can get up to 20C or even 21C during warm summers. It has gotten to 19C this summer & is still 18.7C in spots despite the weather being crap... Surely not that hard for you to get your head round

I'm not questioning myself, you were questioning the fact that the Solent can get up to 20C, which it can

i dare say it can as long as everthing falls into place - i would say that would be the spot along the south coast if anywhere could .

don't ask me the max potential up this way because i don't even know myself - it's a pity it's not all catologued on wiki

Turku has had four consecutive months below average, and the sea temp is 19.3C in the port, if it'd been instead above average all those months, the sea would be 25-26C now.

All UK's coasts are with frigid polar arctic waters.

True, which is why I don't understand why covered sidewalks aren't really a happening thing in the UK. Houses without proper verandahs/porches are not the real deal either -they're like little Noddy houses.
