With such high pressure weather, the temperature difference between the coast and inland is ofte large in winter, and this also shows up on the map, both in the south and the north. Could be even larger differences in mid-winter.
In my region, -7.8c near the border with Sweden, -4.6c at Trondheim Airport Værnes, 0.1c at Ørland Air Base (mouth of Trondheimsfjord) and 5.2c at Halten lighthouse.
Coldest at 13:00 CET was Kautokeino -15.2c (307 m), and warmest (excl oil rigs) Stavanger - Sola 7.1c.

True also for NW-Germany, especially since there has often been a warm spell towards the end of April in the past years with highs often well above 20°C (70's F). This year we see the other spectrum of temperatures and it also looks like we might see some sub 10°C highs still in early May.
I never understood how places in Europe can get that dry to have a wildfire risk.
There are wildfires on heathland in Surrey and Sussex most springs and summers.
