Yep, gales in summer is never a good sign for warm weather lovers. Usually it means lots of cloud and rain with cooler days but warmer nights. Sometimes a NW/SE split develops in the country though which is good for us, as it can still be 26C and mostly sunny here, but 18C or lower and rainy further north and west

Again the shield is at work in the Lexington area. All afternoon an area of thunderstorm activity was headed exactly our way, but about 50 miles away suddenly changed direction and dissipated. Why does this always happen.

Despite no lightning there was heavy rain for about 15 minutes earlier this afternoon which was nice.

Slightly warmer? According to weather online it's going to be 24C in London. Average high is 15.5C in October.

Our seven day forecast.... Absolutely nothing exciting about it.

Not much to say about the weather this week, it's been gorgeous, highs between 73 and 77F, lows near 60 just about every evening, just cool enough to feel ok when sleeping, but not too chilly either.

Today will certainly feel autumnal here. Forecast high of 16C. Haven't had a high below 20C in over a month, and nothing as low as 16C since late June. Will feel cold for sure.

Well I was being a bit OTT but temperature aside it might as well be an October day.. heavy rain and high winds..

Luckily this front seems to be passing further north, so they will be getting the crappy sub 20C highs, hopefully it will not hit us too hard

You know your summer is sad when Seattle is warmer, even if 86 is unusually hot for there.

Not as sad as 50s dew points in August. If that's the price for upper 80s Seattle can keep it.

Maybe it will get there. Low 50s expected as of right now:

Regardless, sunny and 0% chance of rain. Not my cup of tea this time of year.
