Unusual cold night in Northern Germany. My own weather station broke its own August record again with a low of 7.3°C / 45.1°F this morning. It was even colder in the suburbs though, here another private weather station recorded 4.3°C (40°F) and 2.8°C (37°F) on the ground.
But thats still nothing against the low recorded in Quickborn, a village just north of Hamburg, the mercury fell to 1.6°C / 35.0°F there overnight and even to -1°C on the ground.
Here's a chart of the low temperatures in the North (Schleswig-Holstein) this morning (rounded in whole degrees C)
Ground temperatures were even more impressing, 2-3°C lows even at the coast.
Think this weekend sore some record minimums right across the UK... However today it's around a cool 19c and overcast with showers (usually sunny with some cloud and 22c this time of year! )
Was a cooler night than have seen for quite a while here last night too... Sunny as usual today...
