Today was the day to do it.... It failed. No 90F in NYC yet this year.
Looking at possibly going into July now. I'll post the max temp map and the long range GFS data
It looks like my out-on-a-limb prediction will be right; we haven't seen a 24-hour low of 75F yet, but we have some time to go.

Latest GFS: No 90s north of D.C until July 2nd. July 2nd & 3rd only reach as far north as central NJ.
Although I appreciate we are a frost hollow in the winter, it some with a price to pay. We heat up fast in summer and are often one of the hottest places in NJ during heat waves.
