I vote for New Orleans as it is in the Coastal US South, a subtropical paradise; due to the plentiful rainful, humidty, AND sunshine. New Orleans gets cold waves, but every subtropical climate in the world gets such cold waves during the cool season.
I've been to both. New Orleans feels like the Amazing River Valley in the summer. Lemesos (as we Greeks call it) has dry summers, but not too hot thanks to the sea breezes. And not at all humid once you are a couple of hundred meters away from the shore.
Even though both cities have a similar average max in the summer, add the insane humidity levels in New Orleans, and it feels much hotter. At least that was my impression
Go inland in Cyrpus to say Nicosia, it can get stifling hot.

Bah ha ha!
And again no, not all sub-tropical climates in the world get such cold weather as the US south does
Oh I voted for Limassol...
