Here in New Jersey (at least North Jersey where I live), it seems that the hottest day of the year is always during the third week of July. So my prediction is as follows:
Hottest day of the year:
Friday, July 18:
High - 102 F
Low - 78 F

I remember those days, especially July 2011. It got up to 105 F for two days in a row in New Brunswick, and Newark hit 108 F with an overnight low of something like 85-86 F. And I didn't have air conditioning
Going by averages, 34.8/20.7°C on the week sraddling July and August.
