I just don't think it's acceptable that in Islam cultures women are treated so poorly, men can have 4 different wives and that they are slaves to the men. I don't see anything wrong with disagreeing with that to be honest

Me neither but your generalising that all Muslims are like that many are not like that at all.

Don't get me wrong I think ALL religions are discriminatory (not just sexist either) but the muslims that do treat women like that are from Arabia Muslims from Turkey for example are less extreme in their views regarding women, sexuality, more tolerant etc.

Saying that Turkish people are really nice.

As stupid the rules seem to us, we shouldn't constantly insult him because of that. As ridiculous it might sound, these things might be very painful for him. I'm against all religious views that interfere with "normal" life, but if Adi, or anybody else, has decided to choose that lifestyle, we should at least tolerate that. And I'm saying tolerating, not accepting, that's the least thing we can do. And we should not attack him personally because of this.

As some of you know, I'm a laïcité person, I want to ban all religion from any decision making, but as Adi has said he wasn't ready to embarrass his family going renegade, and we have to accept that.
Was the point of this post to start a 5 page long fight ? Why did you even have to say it in the first place. Was your intent to disrupt peace. TELL ME ?

FYI, Hinduism is quite a liberal religion if you were not born into a family of priests. I was born into a family of priests, and so our religious requirements are a whole lot stricter. In fact, they are of next level compared to the general hindu populace.

I have no problem with people being Atheist, and can even be best friends with them. But at a personal level, I have grown up to respect my culture and will follow it. Stay out of speaking about religion, and approach me from other perspectives.
