In Perth once, we had 3 consecutive nights of below 3˚C, argh!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nearly died of frostbite multiple times due to the incredibly bitter temperatures...the next week, every day rained
Well, this July was the warmest ever for a large part of Norway, including my province.
86 official weather stations recorded new all - time highs.
Oslo has seen warmer months, but still had the warmest mean in Norway, at Bygdøy: 21.1˚C and avg daily high 27.2˚C.
Even if I live nearly 4 deg of latitude further north than Oslo, three stations in my region managed average daily high 27˚C or more - two of them away from any urban setting so now UHI.
This is a station even further north - Laksfors, Wmo nr 01133, 65 37 N and 50 m asl. A few hours drive south of the Arctic Circle. Avg daily high 26.6˚C and 8 days above 30˚C. Situated in a valley near a small village with no UHI at all.
Look the temperatures of the city of Kastoria in Greece in the Province of West Macedonia - April 2003. 40 cm of snow, an absolute low of -14 C and at the end of the month summer weather with a high of 28,6 C hahaha Synop report summary
It would have to be December 2010 which was nearly 6C below average, with multiple nights below -10C and daytime temps often around -5.
March 2013 was notably cold compared to average but was let down by its lack of really low minima; the lowest was only -6C even though there were countless days around freezing with nights around -3. December 2010 froze the river in town, March 2013 just produced icy roads when it snowed. It was merely consistently colder than normal without ever being spectacular. But you still have to go back to 1996 to find a February colder than that March.

Where exactly your town is located in UK? It seems that you had interesting weather At least for my likings. I watched on youtube many videos from different cities in UK from December 2010. I liked them a lot. Some cities looked very stunning with the snow and my thought was "hmmm why they don't have snow every winter?"

Its about halfway up the west side of England, close to the border with Wales. The river is the Severn, the longest one in the UK.
Yes we did have interesting weather in December 2010, but that was a rare event. The Weather is usually deadly boring here:-(
