The UK is only going to get cold. The temps will feel cold and there will be more rain (rain is good, just don't like it cold! )! London will see temps down to 16c max by Monday, which would be the coldest temps in a very long time! And Parts of Scotland will see max's in the single figures! BBC Weather! Autumn is almost here people!
Why ow why does it have to be October!
Opinions?

I'm looking forward to it - as long as there is sunshine. This year should be good for foliage.

Anything below 21C for me is below my comfort zone! 16C as a max is not a nice prospect for me! As for sunshine? Well the jet stream looks as though it will be right on top of us... We all know what that means: Storm after storm after storm after storm after, and so on!

HAHA! I know right, Britain's Autumns are not nice! Though I know there's worse to come! Saying that, everyone in the southern part of the country have been used to max temp ranges of 20C-23C, so 16C as a max is going to be a massive shocker!!!

I thought polar air masses would be common in the UK, at any time of the year.

They certainly are here - it's one of the traits that most define Oceanic climates

I would like to have that weather here. A mixture of sunshine, showers, and isolated thunderstorms is much better for me than that dull boring warm overcast weather we have here at present.

England is so warm during those months compared to central-eastern Europe, where highs around 15C and under are nothing special.

London's average high for today is 18c, down to 16c by the middle of October, so this forecast looks normal for the time of year.
