They're all really windy except for Bettles, Haines and Skwentna.

Whittier is a very strong candidate for "worst climate on earth".

None of these climates rates higher than an F. Bettles is probably the least horrific due to being the driest and having the warmest summers.

Probably Skwentna looks the least worst option but if either Bettles or Haines were significantly sunnier then I would go for them.

It would be interesting to see how much sunshine these places actually get. Adak and Whittier look potentially as bad as Torshavn. Putrid climates. I'm surprised even a few hundred people live there.

All are crap of course, but Skwenta gives the warmest summers without having massively massively cold winters like Bettles.

Skwentna and Haines look good, but my favourite climate in Alaska is this one:

Valdez, Alaska

Tough choice between Skwenta and Haines, but I'll go with Skwenta. Solidly cold winters and pleasant summers.

They all look appalling, wouldn't try to pick one unless one of them is demonstrably sunnier than the rest, as a small consolation.

Edit: Whittier and Adak look like the worst to me, as dreadful combinations of cloudiness and raininess.

I see that Bettles - like Verkhoyansk and similar places - has no temperature latency. August is significantly cooler than June, September than May, etc.

Haines looks the best with decent, sunnier summers while only having moderate cold in winter. The precip looks ideal, too.

Haines. The best of a bad bunch. Summer isn't too bad and winter not too cold.
