Hottest-- toss up between Blythe, CA and Bullhead City/Laughlin and Lake Havasu City in AZ. Although truth be told the hottest it ever FELT was in New Orleans and Houston.
Coldest-- Ramapo, NY
Hottest - Phoenix and Las Vegas in the summer months - about 105 F
(But that was dry heat -- Summers in Coastal Virginia (Petersburg) were more stressful
Coldest -- A -25 F overnight in Plattsburgh, NY (although there was a stop along I-81 between Plattsburgh and Lake George which reportedly is consistently colder)
