-0.1C at 8.45 pm, snow just stopped after 13 hours.
It's been a very interesting day of weather today. Firstly we weren't supposed to get snow for as long as we did, secondly it was borderline all day long whether the snow was actually melting, holding steady or accumulating, regardless of how heavily it was falling. That -0.1C at Bingley is the warmest it has been all day, though it definitely hasn't been an ice day here.
I managed to get out at lunchtime to take some snow photos at around 120 m and another few at around 300 m, only about 3 km away.
We've had almost all day with more snow since then, so the difference is probably twice as much now. Like I said before, a lot of our snow events involve temperatures and dew points very close to freezing so a little bit of elevation can make all the difference, but I've never seen that demonstrated as well as today.
16 cm snow depth in Bingley, probably more like 5 cm where I live.
