Steady heavy rain for the last 2 hours with 27mm so far. The radio is warning of extreme rates of 50mm+ an hour, so fingers crossed that they're wrong. 18C and 91% RH at 3.48 pm.
Just been out with the shovel, checking the ditches.
The coastal areas are experiencing a strong bora event with the highest official gust at 192 km/h and unofficial ones above 200 km/h. This bora event is a bit unusual because it's accompanied by rain and thunderstorms (it's usually sunny and dry during bora), and because large amounts of Saharan sand have been falling with the rain and snow.
