Are you sure about the 1284 hrs of Lima? I've seen more averages of Lima's sunshine hours, up to 1470 hours.

Only 18 locations with official data on sunhours in this long country, Norway.

Data from 1961-90

Cloudiest (continental Norway/mainland): 1081 hrs in Vanylven (62 N)
Cloudiest, Norwegian Arctic: 591 hrs Bear Island

Sunniest: 1778 hrs in Kristiansand (Kjevik, 58 N)

How can anyone survive at 591 hours of sun? If I was there I would suicide!

^^The staff at the meteorological station on Bear Island is only there 6 months at a time, most of them never to return. No one lives there permanently.

Don't know.
However, in the recent weeks some more stations have started recording sun hrs, among them one near Trondheim Airport (Kvithamar).

Hahaha it is logic not to live there! God! No sun! Only cold, snow, rain and clouds. Like a frigid hell!

It's a research station in the Arctic, so no surprise anyone doesn't live there.
