I included the WMO info because wikipedia looks a bit off in summer temps for Bergen...
It was a tough choice but I think I'll have to go with Bergen.. slightly less precipitation year round and much warmer record lows which means slightly more stable temperatures in winter.
Bergen has a temperate oceanic climate, not a supbolar oceanic one. Winter in Bergen only lasts from Nov- Feb, too short of a duration to be subpolar oceanic.
deneb78....hmmm... somehow I get the feeling you don`t like
British Columbia LOL
I know within BC, Prince Rupert gets a bad rep, that it rains all the time
I chose it over Bergen, my dad`s grandparents came from Bergen,
so I feel a slight connection but I`ve been to Prince Rupert, weather was nice,
and the view from Mt Hays above the city, spectacular

Well to be honest.. it's certainly far from my ideal climate but I guess I can deal with it
To be honest, there wasn't much separating Bergen from Prince Rupert for me.. they look almost the same with Bergen having the slight edge due to having slightly less precip and milder record lows.
According to educaplus Bergen is slightly drier and sunnier, so I'll go with it, notwithstanding the distinguished name of the other place. It has a spectacular setting, too.
I choose Prince Rupert. Both are among the best in class when it comes to Cfb (oceanic) climates, but Prince Rupert is colder and wetter overall, which is a plus in this arena.
Prince Rupert simply because of snowfall. But both are fine.
