In my opinion It's one of the greatest region of the world for the climate because of the great diversity of weather, all seasons are good especially summer. According to a 2007 story in Forbes magazine's list of "America's Wildest Weather Cities" and the Weather Variety Index, Springfield is the city with the most varied weather in the United States.
Did 45°C+ record high in some city are dubious or they have really occurred ?

Winters are far too cold. California has a better climate.

My favorite climate in Missouri is Kirksville.

Too warm for me still but basically a cooler version of the rest of Missouri.

I think 1954 heat wave temperatures are not really dubious because all Missouri cities reached very high temperatures.

Missouri definitely has some of the most varied weather, I will give it that. From heat waves to blizzards.
