The mild ones are still way too cold, and they all seem to get extreme winds and are super cloudy. The cold ones are just too cold. Showa and Mawson get decent sun and isn't extremely cold...maybe they aren't as windy. Every climate is an F but I'd visit to see what it's like.
Are these sunshine totals accurate? They're very low. Orcadas Base has to be one of the lowest in the world, maybe even the lowest.
Villa Las Estrellas: 605 hours Orcadas Base: 483 hours
Bellingshausen: 592 hours
Base General Bernardo O'Higgins Riquelme : 646 hours
No reason to doubt these values. Truly as depressing as climates get.
Realistically none of the above but if I had to choose then it has to be Commadante Ferraz because at least it's mild enough that you can survive... can't say the same about places like Vostok Station.
I like the number of days that it snows in Orcadas but overall prefer Bellingshausen.
