I know what Azaleas and Rhodos are. I have both shrubs on my property. Not all Rhododendrons are azaleas. Most people identify your last image with the name Azalea.

Rhododendron

Azalea

Your image showed an Azalea shrub which BTW mine are only leafing, no blooms.

Lol sorry. Yeah, should be May as usually is. I'll get some new pics Sunday. Cherry blossoms are in effect now. Cherries and Pears. Unfortunately would of been Magnolias too but those are toast and so we're lacking the pink colors around this yr

Thats an excellent point. I was further along and then the hard freeze set us back to even out with you.

But something tells me the progress will be in over drive now and I will still be ahead of you by a week at least?

We should post photos frequently to compare our progress. I think you're right; you'll still be ahead. But plenty of warmth and sunshine next to get plants to open up next week everywhere. And no more freezing nights up there for me.

Azaleas look totally different to rhododendrons. Azalea leaves are smaller, and the plant is the size of a small shrub, whereas rhododendrons have quite large leaves and are the size of a small tree.

I know azaleas lol but I do sometimes lump them all as Rhodos as others on garden forums do. All asaelas are Rhodos. That is correct.

I went to a Revolutionary War reenactment in Morristown, NJ today. For a time, Morristown was the American capital during the Revolutionary War and site where George Washington stationed his troops. Lots of history here and a cool town in general.
