Just had a lightning flash, and the kids were counting until the thunder came, but it didn't happen.

heard of this before?

Neighbours noticed it as well and thought it might be a blown transformer. There were reports of lightning strikes on power lines, so a surge perhaps ?- no reports of blown transformers though. Very odd.

Quite heavy rain at times today, but a lot warmer than yesterday. Cleared up around lunchtime. Got a nice view on the way home of red cumulonimbus out to sea.

Nice Cold in Tierra del Fuego!

Also GFS is showing nice cold for them this early June,850Hpa temperatures for 05/06:




I dont know exactly where is the Jet,but the map are clearly showing Southern Winds from Antarctic.
