It was one of the warmest September nights on record last night; the official low was 15.7C around midnight but it was 18.5C at 5 am (i.e. before the sun rose). The warmest non-dubious overnight low ever recorded here in any month was only 17.7C (recorded this past July), so 18.5C at 5 am is very rare.
