Which country Canada or Brazil has a better range of climates in your opinion? Both are very large countries (2nd and 5th largest in the world) but with a completely different range of climates. Which one has the better range? For me the choice is a no brainer. Canada's climates range from D+ in Victoria/Gulf Islands to F- in most of the rest of the country. Whereas Brazil ranges from A+ in a place like Natal to C+ in São Joaquim. It will be interesting to see how this poll goes

Canada has no decent climates outside the southern tip of Ontario as well as BC, other than that it's just too cold. But Brazil is a very diverse country with many different climates

Here are some nice and comfy Brazilian climates

Unfortunately Brazil does not have any climates like Central Argentina or Spain or Australia, but all of these are much better than anything you can find in Canada (or the Eastern half of the United States) for that matter

Canada, of course. Brazil's climate is mostly the same. Canada's Vancouver, while Brazil's not. Canada has a great range of climates, Brazil doesn't.

Brazil to me.

Canada outside BC are just an Ice Box,while Brazil range from Equatorial to Temperate Oceanic in the Southern Highlands.

Cities like São Joaquim,Urupema,Urubici, have one of the best subtropical climate to me,with Warm Summer days and Cool confortable Nights, chance of Negative temperatures in Autumn/Winter(temps fall to -4C this late April in some cities there),and with some chance of Snow.

Osoyoos and Pond Inlet have completely different climates Brazil doesn't have this huge variation.

A trickier one than I would have thought. I think I would probably find a more ideal climate for me in Brazil, but the thought of living in a country without serious snowfall, and therefore no skiing, is daunting. Canada gets a summer, but Brazil doesn't have a ski season.

I shall deliberate during the day, and return with my answer after the sun has set.

Spoiler

I need to think about that as well. I don't really know Brazil too well. Interesting highland climates maybe ?

Brazil of course. Canada is just way too cold or in the case of Vancouver too cool. Not to mention Canada not having one decent beach in the country with warm water. Brazil has loads of beautiful beaches. Not even close imo.

Although I would give Canada the edge for beautiful mountains and snowy scenic landscapes in winter. There is more beauty in some of what Canada has in winter than dead brown leafless snowless landscapes like in the eastern US in winter.

If we use Köppen climates, I think Brazil not only has a higher climate richness but also a higher climate diversity. The vast majority of Canada is Taiga.

That wasn't the question though... which range of climates do you like better?
