I have a friend who went to northwestern Argentina and told me how much it reminded him of Utah, except for the +20,000 ft mountains. It's my second favorite area in the southern cone after Patagonia .
Yeah, is true, but Utah also has those amazing temperate forests and snowy mountains. Such a beautiful state and very often overlooked by tourists. In terms of diversity i place it just behind California among US states, with Arizona and New Mexico as the only others close to that spot.
Excellent winter rain-wise with June being extremely wet, July above average and August quite wet . Wettest since 2007 and cloudier than normal Sydney in Winter 2016
