They are similar but Toronto has warm summers like central Europe, so warmer than Stockholm, while the winters are very similar. It is also sunnier and wetter.

hi Sir Nei!
I understand all (no offence), but now I wounder if Toronto is the same cliamte as stockholm?
and i search after a body who has been in both, he can better tell me than a weather data, who say nothing!
in Usa the stockholm has the same weather as Maine, portland! but are Toronto the better option to stockholm?

They don't have the same climate. Climate data is enough to give you the answer. Toronto has very similar weather to western upstate NY. Closer than most of the rest of the US to Scandivinia, but some big differences.

Never been to Stockholm. Toronto can be quite windy, experienced some very strong cold dry winds when I lived there, in any season.
About the climate zone, I think they are similar with some differences. The winters are very close when looking at the charts (I thought Toronto would be colder but apparently it's not that cold anymore). December / January are virtually the same. Shoulder seasons appear to be warmer in Toronto.
Stockholm is Dfb, Toronto is Dfa, but just above the threshold.
Maybe Stockholm has higher average humidity, I thought of Toronto as a pretty dry climate when I lived there, especially in winter, it was pretty dry cold compared to what I'm used to.
