American breakfast habits are one big culture shock. Waffles, pancakes, ice cream and other sweet things. In continental Europe something with fructose are the only sweet things offered.
I see Andrea Loathesom has pulled out of the PM race... Yet another Brexiter has done done a runner...
Not that Theresa May is much better, a bit like having to choose between Hillary & Trump...
Good riddance - Andrea Leadsom is an evil cow. Theresa May isn't very good either, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers.
Yes, the Brexit politicians have done a runner - they made promises they couldn't keep and they don't want to deal with the fallout once it was revealed that they just made it up as they went along.

I found that surprising too. Pancakes are pretty much a once-a-year thing here. Waffles seem more like dessert to me.

On my first trip to the US I was absolutely gobsmacked at what they had laid out for breakfast! I know many think that most Brits have an "English Breakfast" everyday (fry up) but I don't know anyone that ever has that other than as an rare weekend treat. The norm in the UK is toast or cereal...

Yeah. Our breakfast is yoghurt or porridge, bread, fruit juice and maybe an egg. And 100 cups of coffee.
The Danish and Dutch are also quite weird. They can have CHOCOLADE for breakfast. The Dutch have chocolade sprinkles and Danish these very thin layers of chocolade they put on their rolls. WTF?

You should see our breakfasts, which are made of sweet stuffs for the most of times. For example I eat things like cookies/biscuits with tea for breakfast (milk and/or coffe are more common drinks tought). Anyway, if you want to eat something more filling you can go for a cornetto with cappuccino in the nearest bar
Well, my breakfast today was a bit healthier.. special K cereal. The ice cream thing yesterday is not on any way common practice for me or anyone else
