Most of the tap water in Malta comes from desalination plants, it is safe to drink but most people don't as it tastes a bit funky (not sure if like actual seawater as I have never drank it lol). I use it to cook with & in my kettle, my tea & coffee did taste a bit different at first but am used to it so it tastes normal now

Yes that's real: Weather and climate change - Met Office
Though Owen doesn't live anywhere near Castlederp, his nearest official Met Office station is Magilligan No.2

Having a solid foundation of water that is energy-independent is very important to me. That's the good thing about this area. There would always be somewhere to go and drink something in all the lakes in case of emergency.

NYC has the tastiest tap water in the world. Some even say the water in the city is what makes the pizza taste so good

Yeah, NYC has good water. Awesome water pressure too.

Well water in NJ and Upstate NY is hit or miss though. My parent's have terrific well water, but other homes, in my experience, don't have the best water.

Upstate NY water is good generally. But obviously not comparable to New York. In the city the water tastes even better than the bottled variety

NYC water tastes more like pool water to me than bottled water, you can taste the chemicals. Still better than most places, I imagine.
