What about college football? I like the Louisville Cardinals lol!
Florida Gators for most of my life. Most of my family is from Florida, and one of the first college football games I watched was the 2006 championship when they dominated heavy favorite Ohio State.
However, this past year I finally decided to support my alma mater (University of Kentucky). I love college basketball, so it works out perfectly.
Great Steelers game....well great result, terrible game. Way too many field goals instead of touchdowns, idiotic play calling in the first half--why would u not give it to bell who's averaging 6 yards a carry on first down from the???, awful refs. The missed delay of game on the 3rd and 9 at the end was huge. Should have been 3rd and 14 from the 30 not 1st from the 12. Anyway, we won, that's what matters. Now let's go beat the pats next week.
Man La Liga is so intense this year, even the mid-table teams are significantly better than they were two years ago. Halfway through the year Barcelona already has 5 Draws and 2 Losses, in 2012/2013 they had 4 Draws and 2 Losses THE ENTIRE YEAR. Real Madrid already equaled their Draw total from 11/12. This year you also don't see ridiculous scorelines like 10-2 or 9-0 in the favor of Real and Barca anymore, they actually have to grind through matches now and rely on questionable refereeing decisions. Scorelines like Celta Vigo 4 - 3 Barcelona and Sevilla 2 - 1 Real Madrid show how much drama there could be in La Liga
That was posted on reddit quite a while ago. From people living there, some said yes, and others said no, or at least it wasn't the norm or common. It's usually hard to get an accurate portrayal of life in a certain area unless you live there.
Never heard of anything like that in the UK, even in areas with high Muslim populations. France really doesn't strike me as a very PC kind of place.

I stumbled upon that video too somewhere.
I don't see it as impossible at all. There are all kinds of thugs imposing their stupid things, like "nobody smokes pot on this corner without giving me some" and similar.
Good that these incidents are covered and hopefully dealt with, but what I hope is that CG realises that these are extremely rare isolated situations, and not a single 'liberal leftist' accepts this kind of behaviour.

This report was broadcast on our news over here a couple of months ago, and also popped up on the Facebook pages of a number of people I know. It sparked a bit of debate.
For what's it's worth, for people unfamiliar with the French news media, note that it was done by a reputable news organization, and not some far right/far left pseudo-news outfit of which there are many these days.
