Poor Pittsburgh. Raining there, snowing in NYC. Nice "purple bands" over parts of CT and Long Island past couple hours now over parts of Rhode Island. Those bands are dropping 1/2-1" easily.

Meanwhile... 50° in D.C.
Sunny and 61° in Charlottesville, Virginia

All white landscape here. Like different worlds just about 200 miles south of me.

10:20am - 2:20pm loop

All models agree that theres no phasing now. Ugh.

Afternoon models again keeping the 2 Jet stream seperated. One storm in Canada and a weak storm off the coast. Ugh. Come on, merge! This wont be a noteworthy storm if they dont. Then we got rain after this Feb 5-6 storm so who knows when next snowstorm chance will be. Its not every day or week!

Sunday-Sunday Night...As canadian high pressure moves off the coast,
low lvl WAA will increase on the back side of this high with the
approach of a short wave. Because there is a large spread in
possible forecast outcomes, this forecast time period remains highly
uncertain. At this time, only carrying a chc of light snow with the
approach of low pressure. This will change so stay tuned.
Could be nothing. Could be something. Lolol

Look at the CT Panhandle. Blob of darker blues. Drove through some nice snows on Merritt.. Roads stayed wet. Plows were ready.

Plows always waiting and ready. This one had salt in the back. You can see it being spread. Air temps in upper 20s

Lmao. The GFS has 850mb temps dropping to -1C next Friday, 925mb at 1C, this would translate to mid 30's at the surface... yeah, ok.
