I honestly prefer your climate to Bridgeport, it seems your cold snaps are more extreme.
It's due to coastal moderation, Hartford has gotten much colder. We have warmer averages with greater variation. Summers are significantly better here too, and we get more thunderstorms.
According to wiki they average 3c/-5c in January, with an annual snowfall of 70cm. That is cold and snowy.
Certainly in the eye of the beholder. For Cambium that's definitely not cold and snow enough.
Bridgeport no doubt has bouts of cold and snowy weather, but winters are not consistent or reliable. Some winters could be more like Washington DC/Virginia.

Interesting that Bridgeport record low are warmer than NYC record Low,and are the same as Atlanta.
