Somewhere in Crete at 35N got to 30C on 1 January 2010 and then 32C the month after, I vaguely remember (I couldn't find the exact place just now), which is probably more impressive than getting it at 37N on 1 December or whatever date Ashgabat recorded it. Ashgabat's January record is only 28.7C (OK so I know nothing at all about that part of the world, how it is so much warmer than I'd expect it to be just below Siberia?!).

Has anywhere above 35 latitude recorded 30C in every month of the year or is Crete the northernmost?

I think it's impressive that we hit 86° on Jan 31st of 2003 with a 39.2° sun angle, but looks like our lowest sun angle to hit 86°+ was on Dec 16th of 1980, we hit exactly 86° with a peak sun angle of 33.2°, our normal high Dec 16th is 66° so that was 20° above normal!

And to the poster commenting about elevation, Sky Harbor Airport is at 1,107 ft above sea level, which is low for the inland SW

Gravesend (just east of London) recorded 86F (29.9C) on 1 October 2011 with a sun angle of 35°, which sounds like some achievement when we're comparing it to Phoenix, but it is only at sea level.

Go back and read my post..........Canada measures temperature in Celsius .

The temp today in Yellowknife will be at least 32 Celsius . If you want to convert it to Fahrenheit that would be about 88 F.

Oct 1st of 2011, we hit 97° which was only 2° above the normal high of 95°, and our record high Oct 1st is 107° set in 1980

LOL you can't double down on a falsity. Do yourself a favor and look up the forecast for Yellowknife. The other poster linked to a forecast showing in Fahrenheit. Spoiler alert: The temp in Yellowknife will be nowhere close to 32 C.

Latest 30C° in Norway seems to be Aug 26th - 31.3C° at Gvarv (Telemark). Oslo 30.9C° that day.

Narvik (68°26 N) has recorded 27.2C° on Sep 4th. Max sun altitude 29° that day.

MerÃ¥ker (63°24′ N), E of Trondheim, has the national high in Sep with 28.5C° on Sep 1th.

I am impressed by 25.4C on Oct 11th at Høylandet (64°37 N near Namsos), max sun altitude 18°

And by 21.8C on Nov 6th in Tafjord (62°14 N), max sun altitude 11°

Sweden's latest extreme temp as in > 90 F was 32.4 C in Karlskrona on August 27, 1964. Last day above 30 I have no idea but it is between 28-31 Aug.

It was 32.7 on August 26 this year in Norrköping.
