Bald cypress have been becoming quite green here over the past few days. They're normally bare until early-mid March but the cool spell in mid-March kind of held it back a bit.
Saw this today. Does anyone what kind of tree it is?
Would need to see Tree Bark and trunk and leaves for better idea. Hard to tell from that. Amazing what a little rain and some sun does out there huh? You can almost feel like everything is waking up already. But still... no 60s in sight.

Yup, I don't recall seeing this particular tree look like that yesterday, but it was cloudy/rainy so it's possible that I just missed it. I'm seeing the first pear tree buds open up too, nothing major yet though.
It made it to the low 60's here today, and there's another chance on Sunday. More rain on Friday, that should really help our cause, as well as help alleviate the drought before the growing season is in full swing.
You need to get out of that hot pocket. Its no good for you. Lol. When I said "no 60s in sight" I meant the majority of area, not the NYC hot pocket. Not NJ either. Lol
Sorted by max temps today in NY. Only 3 sites hit 60s. None other.
That is what our maple trees looked like in late February. They kind of stayed that way through the first half of March though because it cooled down quite a bit.
Roses are leafing out now, along with quite a few different types of shrubs.
Buds are starting to emerge on some trees, especially in sunny areas, and on bushes. But of course completely closed. As we went down to -7.6C/18F last night, the process is going quite slowly.
Sunny and 70s today. Here are a couple high def pics of the blooms in gay Paree!
Wisteria (never sit under wisteria in spring, it's extremely dangerous)
