One of my aunts lives outside Nantes! (The other one in Berlin).

Nantes has got nice temps, and even though Teide is way sunnier, 1800h isn't that bad, and the rainfall amount is great allowing for lush vegetation. Also, even though I think I eventually would be able to work up a tan strong enough to not have to wear sunscreen if I'm out a full day, I don't know if it'd be all that healthy... Sunscreen is such a hassle, so in that way, Nantes is way better as well.

yes, some benefits living in Nantes cloudy climate Baba ... a bit of sun is nice but can be overdone if youre not careful - esp with the high UVA right now -even in Nantes !

This is the only reason i wouldn't fancy living in NZ - horrendous double figure UVA they get , although i'd take their scenery every day of the week !

Problem isn't the amount of sun, but the strength of the sun. If Nantes had 100% sunshine I wouldn't worry too much since I wouldn't burn there as long as I didn't basement dwell into June. In Teide, I'd have to keep a tan like this guy to not burn: ,
and that's neither good looking or healthy. In Greece, with UVI being 10, I could last an entire day in the sun without sunscreen on my arms and face after a couple of days there, but to handle UVI levels of 15-20, I'd have to get really ****ing dark all over my body and not just my arms. Doable, but not preferable.

Teide would be sitting in the shade and a little sun for an hour or two .

Nantes would be how things are now with me - some shade/some sun for that 5 month UVB window -

I like Tiede for the blue sky winters from my window .

I don't wear sunscreens either - just make sure i avoid any burning - not good .

The guy in the picture has gone way too far - woahhhh !
