Winters are too mild, summers are too hot and too dry.
Summers lows are pleasant, and that is the best think about this climate.
Winter months in Adelaide are pretty similar as April or October here.
Winters are too damp and sort of cloudy. Summers may be hot, but I take it they get dry heat since the lows are rather comfortable. Good sunshine hours overall anyway and rather pleasant in other seasons.
Summer temps are too hot with frequent heat waves (-8), during which summer nights can be hot (-2). There was a night in 2009 that stayed above 34C. Persistent sunshine worsens the situation. (-4)
Winter temps are too cold while many other Australian climates provide a comfortable winter (-8). Sunshine is also particularly patchy during winter (-3).
Rainfall is usually limited to winter cold fronts (-4). Rainfall falls lightly (-5). Thunderstorms are rare and summer rainfall totals are dismal (-20).
Horrible climate by way of too little rain and prone to increasing heatwaves and decreasing rainfall.
Wet years, if not months, are becoming fewer.
I recall - after intensive studies - from their rainfall records, the last very "wet'" years were in 1916/1917 and 1992. Feel free to correct me though :-)
A reasonable B, and its sunshine levels comfortably beat any NZ location. Lightyears ahead of the UK, and well ahead of much of Europe and the winter-plagued zones of the US like the northeast.
